Let’s set the scene, shall we?
Courty Vintage had a date night all planned with a young woman he had met. She drove because, according to him, she had a nice rental car, liked to drive and who is he to turn down a free ride. They went to the bar where he paid for all the drinks. After that, because she is vegetarian, they got a pizza that she paid for, and they had a couple of beers.
They then proceeded to go to movies, where he paid, but she slid him $20 for her half of the movie, I suppose.
This is the key part of the story I think no one is mentioning.
The movie they went to go see was “Last Night in Soho.”
I don’t know if it is a good or bad movie, because I haven’t seen it, but here is a brief description.
An aspiring fashion designer is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer. However, the glamour is not all it appears to be, and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.
I will be 100% honest. If I have had drinks, beers, and Pizza before going to a movie about a fashion designer in the 1960s, I will likely fall asleep before whatever the twist was in the movie (hopefully, it was a good twist).
Mr. Vintage did exactly that, and when he woke up, his date was gone.
There are a couple of possibilities here, and social media is going over them all. She decided she wasn’t feeling the date and just was looking for a time to bail. She was upset she had to pay half for everything. Whatever the situation, you should never leave someone stranded. Granted, in 2021, we have Uber and Lyft, but she should have at least taken him back home and then ghosted him if she wasn’t feeling him.
Don’t be rude.
Flip the pages for Twitter heavily debating the topic and his side of the story.
