This is a pretty light sentence for stabbing someone in the head.
Back in June 2020, 29-year-old Adam Abdul-Jabbar got into with then-60-year-old Raymond Windsor. Windsor was yelling at Abdul-Jabber for nothing helping his grandmother bring in the trash cans. It is unclear if it was Windsor or Abdul-Jabbar’s grandmother.
Whatever the case, this upset Adbul-Jabber so much stabbed his neighbor multiple times in the head, neck, back, and side. This all happened in Southern California, so you wonder if the judge went light on him because of who his father is?
The prosecutors are FURIOUS, according to TMZ Sports.
Adam — who had been accused of slamming a blade through the head of a man after the two had quarreled over trash cans in 2020 — entered guilty pleas to four total charges, including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, at a hearing earlier this week.
Adam had been facing YEARS behind bars over the charges … but the judge sentenced him to just 180 days in jail — and also hit him with two years probation.
Prosecutors said afterward they were furious with the sentence, claiming the punishment did not fit the crime — and adding that there’s a chance Adam could ultimately serve his sentence as home confinement.
According to the prosecutors, Windsor could have died from his injuries, and the fact that Abdul-Jabbar may be able to serve all his jail time at home is insane.
Windsor is suing Adbul-Jabber, so he is going for those pockets, but as I said before, this seems like the judge might be a Lakers fan. If he was a Clippers fan, Abdul-Jabbar might have gotten several years of hard time.
What do you think?
Does the punishment fit the crime, or do you think he has gotten off easy because he was Kareem’s son?
