Rams fans were beating up Titans fans and their own fans during the loss to Tennessee.
Sofi Stadium is too pretty of a stadium for all of this chaos to be going on. It is like driving your brand new Benz through the mud. At least let it get some miles on it before you start driving it in rough weather.
As far as the game, it didn’t turn out too well for the Rams against the shorthanded Titans.
On two snaps 20 seconds apart, Jeffery Simmons and Kevin Byard forced Matthew Stafford into a pair of terrible decisions. The stunning sequence ended with Byard sprinting to the end zone carrying the second of Stafford’s back-to-back interceptions.
With Derrick Henry sidelined for at least the near future, the Tennessee Titans might need a new identity on their Super Bowl quest.
In their first game without the NFL’s rushing leader, the Titans found it: They’re a dominant defensive team capable of forcing even Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams‘ powerful passing offense into game-deciding mistakes.
Byard returned Stafford’s second consecutive interception 24 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, and Tennessee’s defense carried the Titans to a 28-16 victory in a showdown between conference co-leaders.
The Titans are going to need their defense to carry them because the offense without Henry looked mundane at best.
The key for Tannehill is to not lose games for them and make timely plays. Adrian Peterson made his debut with Titans and looked understandably rusty. Maybe after a few games, the running game will kick into gear, but for now, the Titans will have to lean heavily on their defense. They are comfortably ahead in their division, and Henry might be back before the playoffs start, so there is a lot to look forward to.
Flip the pages to see the brawl. It was quite crazy.
