Triple doubles are a hard thing to do in the NBA.
If they were easy, everyone would have a lot of them. With that being said, there are times when you can have a triple-double and still have a bad game. If you are someone like Russell Westbrook, who has routinely averaged a triple-double for the last few years, you are going to have some bad games mixed in with those.
I think every playing in the NBA chases stats. I am sure Westbrook is aware of his stats, but I don’t think he would do anything that would harm the team just to try to get a triple-double.
Here is what KAT had to say.
“He definitely gets stats. He chases stats. But I think he’s a hell of a player, though.
I don’t care what anyone says. You know how hard it is to get a triple-double? You know how hard it is? And he plays hella hard. I just think that sometimes he plays too quick. He tries to do too much.”
I don’t think Kat even meant any disrespect, and while a lot of people agree with him, Draymond Green felt like KAT went against the brotherhood.
This is interesting coming from Draymond, who has an opinion on everything and every player in the NBA. It seems, for whatever reason, other players aren’t too fond of Karl-Anthony Towns. You have never seen Towns in a group of other players, and no one wants him to be on their super team.
What do you think the reason is for that?
KAT doesn’t seem to be a bad guy, and he is a hell of a player when he is locked in.
While you ponder all of that, flip the pages for KAT’s full interview about Westbrook and Draymond’s clap back. Who do you agree with?
