Chiefs have a big game this week. Let’s try to keep the domestic disputes at a minimum.
Gay needs to be studying film, the Bills scored seven straight touchdowns last week. He doesn’t have time for all this. Thankfully, only a vacuum was harmed in this incident.
This is not something you want to be in the news for right before a divisional playoff game. They have to find a better way to co-parent. Here is what Gay’s rep had to say.
A rep for Gay says the football player was arrested after he broke a vacuum during an argument with the mother of his child.
“Willie was at his son’s house visiting,” Maxx Lepselter said in a statement Thursday morning. “He and the mother got into an argument during which he broke her vacuum.”
Lepselter insisted the altercation did not turn physical … adding, “No one was touched, nothing happened beyond broken appliance.”
“She called cops about it and they took him in on misdemeanor destruction of property of less than $1,000.” Lepselter expected a quick resolution to the case, perhaps even as early as Thursday afternoon.
“Likely just pays a fine and replaces vacuum. Nothing more, all should be resolved today with no further issues.”
Was it one of those new vacuums? The cordless ones that cost like $500?
If so, I can understand why the baby mama was upset. If what Gay’s rep is saying is true, maybe not something you call the cops for because they do shoot black men for less. This doesn’t look like it is going to affect his ability to play in the game against the Bills.
He was only in jail for two hours while they booked him.
Charging documents and a police report state Gay damaged a vacuum cleaner, cell phone screen protector, humidifier, wall and door frame during a confrontation with a woman. It’s being classified as a domestic violence offense. Gay is charged with misdemeanor criminal damage under $1,000.
The value of the items damaged is listed in the police report as $225.
Let’s try to keep our temper in check and let out that anger on the field, not the appliances.
