NFL Players and the World is Cooking Eli Apple

Eli Apple had to know this was a possibility.

If you talk a lot of sh*t and then you get beat for the game winning touchdown this is what is going to happen.

Normally it is just fans, but Apple has run afoul of several NFL players who are now torching him on social media.

The good news for Apple is that he was playing in the Super Bowl while they were at home and he didn’t have a terrible game until the end, but alas he did give up the winning TD to the MVP.

All season, whenever the Los Angeles Rams needed a big play, it was receiver Cooper Kupp who delivered it.

And when it mattered most on Sunday night in Super Bowl LVI, it was Kupp who found a way to finally get the Rams back to the top of the NFL mountain as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 to win the Lombardi trophy for the first time in more than 22 years.

Kupp caught the game-winning 1-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford and finished with eight catches for 92 yards and two scores en route to earning the game’s Most Valuable Player award. He’s the eighth wide receiver to win Super Bowl MVP and the first since the New England Patriots’ Julian Edelman in Super Bowl LIII.

An emotional Kupp deflected the spotlight after the win.

“I just don’t have words,” Kupp said. “I’m just so thankful for everyone.”

In the final drive after being quiet for most of the game. Kupp exploded not just with catches but drawing three defensive penalties on the Bengals which eventually led them to the 1-yard TD.

But back to Apple who is still getting cooked as we speak.

Hopefully, he takes it all in stride because it does appear he has a future with the Bengals.
