It is always difficult to judge, when it comes to ranking the best players in any sports. However, if we look at an article from NBC Sports, dating back to January this year, it would seem like the top five players in the league are all black. In fact, only in 6th position do you find Nicola Jokic. Here is a look at the top of the crop, in the NBA, in 2022.
Players that Fans watch Closely
When sports fans place their bets on NBA games, they certainly take in consideration how well the five players on this list will perform, if they choose to bet on games which involve their team. That is because Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Stephen Curry and James Harden are at the top of the class, right now. So when you visit one of the latest betting sites to place a wager, look for their respective team to perform well and place your bets accordingly.
Number One: Kevin Durant
The Nets are certainly happy that Kevin Durant is finally part of their team. That is because there is no one better in the NBA. And since this league is the most competitive in the world, we can pretend that he has become the ultimate basketball player, in any country. Durant has had a career, where you could see the experience coming in and changing his style of play. When he started with the Thunder, he was a scoring machine. When he made the switch to the Warriors, he went from top scoring guy to best passer and defender. But with the Nets, he simply displays it all, in every game he plays. We can pretend that his superstar status really took form after his Achilles injury, in the Finals of 2019. Because the year after, he came back with a vengeance and has been the greatest on a basketball court, ever since.
Number Two: Giannis Antetokounmpo
It is fair to say that Giannis Antetokounmpo has established a name for himself by now, thanks to two MVP seasons, and winning the MVP NBA Finals award, last year. Being 7 feet and 3 inches will certainly help anyone excel in basketball. But the truth is that he has simply become a dominant player.
Number Three: LeBron James
Ask anyone who follows the NBA closely, and they will tell you that no other player on the court shows a more well-rounded play than James LeBron. His experience has made him one of the most dependable players in the league, and his teammates count on him every night, for a chance to win.
Number Four: Stephen Curry
If you are looking for the best shooter in the league, don’t look any further. In fact, Curry broke the record for 3-pointers, back in December 2021, which was still held by Ray Allen. His team (the Warriors) are at the top of the Western Conference, and they can thank him for that.
Number Five: James Harden
James Harden sees the game like no other player does. That is what makes him such a scoring threat, whenever he plays his shifts.
