If you were going to be given life in prison would you snitch to get a lesser sentence?
There are a lot of people that probably would but one person that had a chance to snitch and didn’t? Lil Durk’s dad Big Durk.
Big Durk had the chance to snitch on Larry Hoover so he could walk out of prison but didn’t. He went to social media to explain to explain his reasoning for not snitching and also talks about how it’s an honor that he was able to walk out of prison knowing he didn’t rat and being able to maintain his integrity.
Who is Larry Hoover?
Larry Hoover (born November 30, 1950) is an American gang leader, co-founder of the Chicago street gang Gangster Disciples. Hoover is serving six life sentences at the ADX Florence prison in Florence, Colorado. He was sentenced to 200 years for a 1973 murder, and in 1997 (after a 17-year investigation of conspiracy, extortion, money laundering, and running a continuing criminal enterprise by leading the gang from state prison) he received a life sentence.
On December 9, 2021, West, along with fellow rapper Drake, hosted a “Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert” at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The main goal of the concert was to bring awareness to Hoover’s case; West and Drake called for the release of Hoover and sought to raise awareness about prison and sentencing reform in the United States.[15] Though West and Drake had previously been involved in an ongoing rivalry, they decided to put an end to their feud, and focus on putting their fame and influence to use by bringing awareness to Hoover’s case, by organizing the benefit concert.
How many people could honestly say they’d do the same?
Not many because we know people love snitching if that means they won’t spend any time in jail.
