The wife of former UCLA QB Cade McNown, Christina, got her punishment for stealing designer bags and jewelry and got off pretty easy.
Last year, Mrs. McNown was charged with 4 felonies, including grand theft for allegedly stealing $100k worth of designer bags and jewelry from her former boss.
According to NY Post, Christina is in a bit of hot water after being arrested for stealing from her connect.
Christina McNown, the wife of former UCLA and NFL quarterback Cade McNown, has been arrested for allegedly stealing luxury goods, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
The mother of four, who works as a stylist, was arrested following an investigation that noted she “allegedly lifted” designer items, such as purses, clothing, and jewelry, from Sydney Holland, with whom she had worked, according to TMZ sources.
Holland, a philanthropist, is said to have picked up on her belongings going missing over the course of a few months, even seeing a few pieces online.
Christina has been charged with four counts of felony grand theft. She will be arraigned early next year.
You never steal from your connect. That is always bad business.
I get what she was thinking that the older woman who has a million luxury bags and jewels wouldn’t know a few items were missing. She is probably right if it was just one bag or one piece of jewelry, but she obviously got greedy. If I can’t find one pair of sneakers, I will just assume it was something I did. If I can’t find ten pairs, I know something suspect is going on.
She pleaded no contest and was only sentenced to 500 hours of community service and has to complete a theft course according to TMZ.
“With her plea today, Ms. McNown is being held responsible for her numerous thefts from Ms. Holland, which cost Ms. Holland hundreds of thousands of dollars, not to mention the loss of irreplaceable items with sentimental value,” said Holland’s attorney, Karen Sosa, via TMZ Sports. “We hope Ms. McNown reflects on her behavior and does not repeat these crimes in the future.”
McNown should feel really lucky because that sentence to should be a lot harsher and frankly if she was a black woman we know what would have happened.
