Marvel sent social media into a frenzy after they dropped the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
It’s the sequel to the first Black Panther movie and first without Chadwick Boseman who played T’Challa, the Black Panther. It was a very emotional trailer because it showed that T’Challa had past away and was being played over Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman No Cry’ and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Alright’.
The trailer also showed the first appearance of Namor, the Sub Marinor. The biggest thing that had everyone talking though was the ending of the trailer where they showed the new Black Panther.
It had everyone guessing who it was. Was it Shuri, T’Chall’s sister. Could it be Nakia, T’Challa’s love interest in the first movie. There are even theories that it could Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan who everyone thinks died in the first movie.
We probably won’t find out until the movie comes out. Or so we thought.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever merchandise pics were dropped, and we see Shuri in a Black Panther suit, so it would be easy to assume that she’s the one in the suit in the trailer.
It should be noted, though, that in the movie, the Black Panther suit has gold trims, and the merchandise has silver, so it could be something to throw fans off.
I do believe multiple people will put on the suit. The question begs, by the end of the story, who will become the proper Black Panther in the MCU.
There are a lot of theories going around, if you are willing to go down the rabbit hole, you can find what you seek. Are you excited for Wakanda Forever? There is a movement asking everyone to wear white to the premiere as a tribute to Chadwick Boseman.
