According to Front Office Sports, they are just pausing his show until the heat dies down.
ESPN Milwaukee has “paused” Brett Favre’s weekly radio appearances amid the swirling Mississippi welfare funds scandal, a spokesperson for the station’s ownership group told Front Office Sports on Friday.
Good Karma Brands — which owns ESPN Milwaukee’s WKTI-FM and ESPN Radio stations in Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago, and other markets — becomes the first media outlet to sideline the former Green Bay Packers great since scrutiny intensified in recent weeks over Favre‘s ties to receiving funds earmarked for needy families in Mississippi.
Favre’s status with SiriusXM and 33rdTeam remains unclear as neither outlet has returned several messages left by Front Office Sports in recent days.
Favre hasn’t appeared on Sirius XM since Sept. 13. That is also the date of the last story Favre wrote for 33rdTeam, a football-focused website founded by former team execs Joe Banner and Mike Tannenbaum.
The spokesperson for Good Karma Brands did not cite the reason for keeping Favre off the air. Favre still remains on ESPN Milwaukee’s website, which lists his last appearance as Sept. 12.
Favre has the right complexion for protection.
Finally, within the last week or so, mainstream media has started to pick up the stories and show people what a terrible person Favre is.
Favre should be in jail for his part in the scam, but like others like him, he will probably only get hit with a slap on the wrist or no punishment.
