Jesse Williams’ ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee has broken her silence in the wake and heat of their ongoing custody battle over their two children. She’s also ready to drop receipts to back her reaction.
According to Black Enterprise;
Drake-Lee took to Instagram on Wednesday night to post a selfie with a lengthy caption, raising awareness of her and Williams’ latest quarrel regarding their daughter Sadie, 8, and son Maceo, 7.
“Is it good for the health and wellness of a 7yr and 8yr old to be taken out of school on a regular basis to fly cross country overnight on a red eye to be on the ground for two days?” Drake-Lee wrote.
“Is it reasonable for them to return dazed and confused and then be expected to pick right up and survive at school the rest of the week? I don’t think so! Neither do any of the parents who actually parent on a routine basis.”
Drake-Lee continued.
“THERE’S A NAME FOR THE CONDITION OF AN ADULT WHO EXPECTS THEIR CHILDREN TO INDULGE, CAREGIVE AND SERVICE THAT ADULT’S DESIRES AT THE CHILDRENS’ EXPENSE,” SHE QUIPPED.
In the hashtags, Drake-Lee teased the “receipts” that would be coming amid her years-long custody battle with the Grey’s Anatomy star.
#IHAVESTAYEDQUIETFORFARTOOLONG,” SHE ADDED.
Drake-Lee’s scathing Instagram post came hours after Williams demanded an emergency hearing over a custody dispute, Radar Online reports. Williams filed the hearing after his ex-wife refused to agree to have their two children fly out to New York City to spend time with him while he performs on Broadway in the hit, Take Me Out.
She might be a little salty about her child support being reduced to $6k a month.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, last year, Jesse asked the court to lower the $40k a month he was paying in support for their two kids, Sadie and Maceo.
The judge had slashed his $40k per month support obligations down after Jesse said he wasn’t making as much. In court documents, he explained the original child support amount was based on his 2019 income.
At the time, he was the star of Grey’s Anatomy and pulled in $6.2 million from the show and another $183k in residuals.
He explained, “My current income is far from sufficient to maintain a $40,000 per month child support number, especially since I still pay one-half of the children’s private school tuition, the children’s extracurricular activities, medical care, and all of their expenses when they are with me including child-care and my own expenses.”
Jesse said he struggled to find work that paid as well as the ABC drama. Earlier this year, he starred in the Broadway show Take Me Out but was only making $1,600 per week. He told the court his ex was an Ivy League graduate who previously made six figures working as a real estate broker in California and New York.
