Halle Berry has finalized her divorce from Oliver Martinez eight years after they initially filed. Halle and Oliver were married for two years and share a son, 9-year-old Maceo.
According to TMZ, Halle and Oliver disagreed about custody and child support, which dragged out the divorce for years. The couple has agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their son, and Halle agreed to pay $8,000 a month in child support.
In addition to child support, Halle agreed to pay Oliver an additional 4.3 percent of all income she receives above $2 million. Halle will also fully pay for their son’s private school tuition, his extracurricular activities, and health insurance.
Divorce in Hollywood seems inevitable, Hollywood’s couples’ solution to marital problems has always been divorce. Those who are able to settle their issues are a few and even that, they tend to divorce in the end.
