In the Midst of the 76ERS’ Trade Saga, James Harden Sends a Motivational Message to His Fans

Guard James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers is at odds with general manager Daryl Morey over a potential trade for the team. Harden carries on with his life despite the obstacles in his path. During an interview he gave in China, he delivered the same message to his supporters.

“Keep pushing every single day. For whatever profession you’re trying to be the best at. You’re gonna go through some days where you feel like you don’t feel like doing it anymore. Those days make you tough and it makes the top of the mountain much better.”

Whatever your opinion of Harden may be, everyone can benefit from the message of hope that is conveyed by this. We can make fun of the predicament he’s in today, but he would never have achieved his current status as an MVP and a player vying for millions of dollars if he hadn’t developed an excellent work ethic over many years.

What Trade Will James Harden Get?

Last year, Harden averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists. Despite not being selected for either the All-Star or All-NBA teams, Harden entered the playoffs as a highly respected point guard. As the 76ers were once again ousted in the second round, Harden vanished even after a few games with 40 or more points.

Harden is right to desire a trade because a promised max contract vanished into thin air. The 33-year-old is not being pursued by any teams, according to the reality of the market. The 76ers would be better off getting Harden back for another season than moving him for junk because of his low value.

To Philly’s regret, Harden is adept at pressuring the trade he wants. But if the market doesn’t respond, we can find ourselves in a protracted deadlock.
