Jon Jones put his wit on display when asked to pick the best African UFC Fighter. As for the fabs, Israel Adesanya, former fighter Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Dricus Du Plessis, and many people have found global success coming from the African land.
That said, Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya have been in several verbal exchanges regarding their African heritage. Adesanya, who now resides at New Zealander, was doubted of being an African by Du Plessis.
That said, Jon Jones connected with the ‘Overdogs’ podcast and snubbed both of them as the best African fighter.
He humorously replied to the query and said, “The real Ni**a himself, Mike Perry.”
Meanwhile Mike Perry took to social media and acknowledged Jon Jones’ statement.
‘Platinum’ Perry wrote, “Real recognize real, shout out to the goat [Jon Jones].”

Mike Perry is no longer with the UFC. He has competed in BKFC and in the meantime is also the replacement fighter for Dillon Danis against Logan Paul on October 14’s Boxing fight. Meanwhile, Jon Jones is currently the UFC heavyweight champion and will defend his belt against Stipe Miocic next.
Ending a hiatus of over three years, Jon Jones returned at UFC 285 and finished Ciryl Gane in under three minutes to earn the vacant heavyweight belt. 36-year-old Jon Jones has nothing left to prove in the sport and his next fight could possibly be his last.
