He attempted to convince the scoring prodigy, who was in the third year of his four-year, $176 million contract, during the hotly anticipated Terence Crawford-Errol Spence fight.
The commenter generated hilarity by bringing up the incident during the Quick Takes segment of his ESPN show First Take. He stated ”Who the hell is going to the Knicks that I have recruited? Nobody. I am begging anybody. I haven’t been able to get anybody.” “I am praying that at least one time it worked”.

Doing everything it takes to win a championship
When Spence and Crawford started fighting, Ryan Clark, an ex-NFL player and pundit, was standing close by. He stated that “You are absolutely right. How many years you have been seeing me literally begging? In Vegas, did I not sit ringside, turn around in front of the crowd, and beg Damian Lillard right in front of you? Yes, I did.”
In response, Clark twice said, “It’s embarrassing.”
