Terence Crawford is the first boxer to have earned undisputed titles in two different weight categories following his TKO win over Errol Spence Jr. on July 29th.
Now. ‘Bud’ wants to become undisputed in a third division and has called out the winner of Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo. Terence Crawford joined UFC commentator Joe Rogan o his podcast and revealed future plans.
He said, “168, yeah. Yeah, if he [Canelo] win yeah. If he win or [Jermell] Charlo the winner. I want to be three-time undisputed.”
Terence Crawford was calling out Jermell Charlo while he was fighting Errol Spence Jr, in the ring. Charlo, who was in the live attendance, saw verbal venom being spat from Crawford.
That said, Terence Crawford had initially ruled out his chances of facing Alvarez. But he seems to have changed his mind and is looking to add more undisputed titles under his belt.
‘Bud’ is arguably the number one P4P fighter after his win over ‘The Truth’. In an unbeaten pro record of 40-0, he has earned 31 KOs with over 77% of knockout ratio. He has walked over the super lightweight and welterweight division.
‘Bud’ can now aim at fresh challenges by moving up to 154 lbs or 168 lbs. As for his plans of becoming the undisputed, it depends on what Canelo vs Charlo turns out to be on September 30.

Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo Can Be The Biggest Fight Of The Year
Canelo Alvarez’s win over John Ryder didn’t earn enough appraisal, as several people had looked down upon Ryder as an eligible opponent. The same cannot be said about Jermell Charlo, who is an undisputed world champion at 154 lbs.
Canelo Alvarez has signed a three-fight deal with Al Haymon’s PBC beginning with Jermell Charlo. Mexican star Canelo had his last scrap against an American fighter when he fought Caleb Plant in November 2021.
While Jermell Charlo is next on his way, it remains to be seen how Alvarez looks against him. Ever since knocking out Plant, Canelo hasn’t stopped any opponent.
