Not everyone is great at speeches . Well , most people might consider NFL coaches to be great Orators and fantastic at motivating players. It appears Cardinals Head Coach Jonathan Gannon might not be one of them .
There are no doubts about Jonathan’s coaching ability but when it comes to motivating speeches things take an amusing turn. “Cards Flight Plan” latest episode shows bemused and perplexed players looking on after Jonathan Gannon gave a speech .
He began his speech saying “Welcome Back” but then went on a strange trajectory that can only be described in hindsight as a rant .
“Who drove over here? Quick, let me see your hands. Who took the bus? Do you have fire in your gut? Did you?”
“We’re here for a reason. Don’t get that twisted. OK? We’re here for a reason, to win games. So if you didn’t have that fire in your gut, you better light the fire pretty fast. Be who you are. Just understand, I’m looking for f–king killers.”
