Colin Kaepernick feels he can still aid a team in need of a quarterback even though it has been seven years since his last NFL snap. This Thursday, the 35-year-old sent a letter to the New York Jets requesting the chance to join the team’s practice squad.
Kaepernick wrote
“Worst case scenario, you see what I have to offer and you’re not that impressed. Best case scenario, you realize you have a real weapon at your disposal in the event you ever need to use it,”
“In either of these scenarios, I would be committed to getting your defense ready week in and week out, all season long, and I would wear that responsibility like a badge of honor.”
Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Colin Kaepernick
In addition to saying that he detested it, Charlamagne criticized Kaepernick for not speaking for himself and for releasing the letter through rapper J Cole , which he called “whack.”. He said
“I wish that letter was never written. That letter was tragically sad and downright pathetic,” “Colin Kaepernick has let his setback become his identity, and I hate that for him.” “I wish Colin the best in all his endeavors but just begging these same people you called racist for an opportunity is pitiful,”
Charlamagne says Colin Kaepernick’s letter was “tragically sad and downright pathetic” & thinks he should stop begging the NFL to come back

What will happen with Kaepernick’s letter is still uncertain given that the team recently signed Siemian.
After spending the whole 2016 season kneeling during the National Anthem he abruptly left the league.
Zach Wilson, who replaced Rodgers, has had a terrible time leading the Jets to two straight defeats as of the time of Kaepernick’s letter. With a 57.0 passing rating this season, the third-year quarterback and former No. 2 overall draft pick is currently bottom in the league.
