A Bills reporter was under fire after remarks she allegedly made about wide receiver Stefon Diggs were overheard on a hot mic. The media person, later revealed as team reporter Maddy Glab, was heard in the background of a video that went viral on social media on Wednesday indicating that the team was attempting to contact Diggs for a media availability.
Glab then began to express his opinions regarding the great wide receiver. She said “There’s no control over Stefon Diggs,” “Dude’s gonna do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say, ‘F you.’ How he treats everybody.”
Glab made her own apologies for the event on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the video became viral. She said
“I want to take ownership for what I said today. I am very sorry for what I said and meant no ill will,” “I respect the hell out of Stefon Diggs, and he has been one of my favorite players to cover. He has great character and treats us media with lots of respect. He takes time out of his day to talk to us, which he doesn’t have to do. For context, media was waiting for players to come out for press conferences when a reporter joking told me to go get Stefon Diggs. I said I don’t have control over him – Stef marches to the beat of his own drum and I love that about him.” “He has a playful relationship with our video department, so that’s why I said he probably wouldn’t say yes to me grabbing him for an interview. I should not have said what I said, and I apologize for that. Stef is not in the wrong, I am.”
Yikes: A #Bills reporter was talking trash about Stefon Diggs but didn’t realize the mics were still on and caught everything..

Neither Diggs nor the Bills have replied to Glab’s remarks in the media.
In the Week 1 loss to the Jets, the 29-year-old caught 10 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown. However, Michael Irvin criticized him on “Undisputed” after the game for gazing at quarterback Josh Allen and caressing his head, which Irvin believed was inappropriate treatment of the QB.
In the OT loss, Allen threw three interceptions and lost a fumble.
“Stop telling that man, ‘Be smart, be smart,’ because you’re telling everyone else, ‘He’s dumb, he’s dumb, he’s dumb.'” Irvin commanded, “Stop doing that.”

Diggs responded to the former star receiver on “The Voncast” with Von Miller on Wednesday and stated that he tells pretty much everyone on the Bills’ offence the same thing, not just Allen. Diggs said
“I’m like, what are you talking about? People garnish things from a game and have their own opinion about x, y, z. Like, what are you talking about?” “I say this to the quarterback, I say this to the running backs, I say this to the receivers, to the o-line,” “When you see me pointing to my head, I say let’s play smart. … Some stuff is worth conversation, other stuff is like, alright, alright, alright.”
