Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is getting credit and hailed over the Brewers making it in the playoffs after throwing out the first pitch back at a game in June. One radio host claims Paige deserves all the credit because she made it happen for the Brewers.
Back in June, Paige stunned in tight jeans and a top and threw the first pitch but is that enough effort to be credited with the Brewers making it to the playoffs?
A LOCAL Milwaukee sports radio host has argued that golf influencer Paige Spiranac is why the Brewers made the playoffs.
Radio host Grant Bilse expressed on the Wisco Sports Show that the team went on a season-altering run after Paige threw out the first pitch back at a game in June.
The 30-year-old former professional golfer was invited on June 16 to toss the ceremonial first pitch for a Brewers promotion night with Paige bobbleheads given out to fans.
The team’s record was 34-34 when Paige appeared at the stadium.
A week later, on June 23, Bilse posted a podcast that proclaimed that night as “the promotion that saved a season.”
“It was now becoming clear to [Brewers business executive] Rick Schlesinger and those that work with him.
“Paige Spiranac’s visit to American Family Field in June would be a turning moment for the franchise,” Bilse said.
And from that point forward, the Brewers finished the season hot, going on a 58-36 stretch.
The Brewers won the NL Central by a large nine-game margin over the Chicago Cubs, and Bilse has a theory for the success.
“Brewers fans owe Paige Spiranac a great debt.
“When the season was bleakest in April and May, her bobblehead night became a beacon on the horizon — something fans could look forward to.
“But by the time the day arrived, Brewers fans had actually become genuinely excited to welcome Paige to Milwaukee.
“Golf Night 2023 almost became a second opening day … a new beginning for a season that had taken a turn for the better,” Bilse told The New York Post.
The Brewers face the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL Wild Card round.
With this, we can say Paige Spiranac isn’t just a golf influencer but also carries some sort of luck with her that probably makes it possible for teams to win during games.
