Maybe Tom Brady didn’t understand why certain Patriots and Buccaneers supporters would become so irate with him after their teams suffered a defeat. He has much more empathy for their feelings and their methods of dealing with these setbacks now that he is viewing everything from their point of view.
Tom Brady has been forced to embrace his new job as a spectator and not be involved in what transpires during a game because of his recent retirement. Tom Brady now understands these fans and intends to continue trying to learn more about them with this new outlook.
He has no business understanding when some of these fans become physically aggressive. In the “Let’s Go!” podcast, Brady discussed this,
“There’s so much more context when you’re watching [and] you have this TV and they show every replay. On the field, you don’t see any of that. You’re seeing everything ground level. I think when you’re a fan, you see obviously a lot, you hear a lot.
The commentators are saying a lot. You have the score right there, you have the timeouts listed, everything’s right there for you. It’s not necessarily like that when you’re a player. You’re just, you’re in the moment. I’m taking it all in.
I’m trying to actually listen to a little bit from a broadcaster standpoint and how they’re calling the game, you know, paying attention more to, I’d say, the broadcasting element of it, the pageantry of it rather than, I would say, the nuances and the technicalities of the game.”

Tom Brady is taking his time starting a new chapter
Tom Brady is aware that in around a year, his life will return to football, albeit from a different angle, as November 2024 draws near. He signed a deal worth up to $375 million with Fox Sports to function as an analyst for the network.
Brady is aware that his job life will take up a lot of his time, so he needs to make time for his kids a priority before that happens. He won’t go into that other new job without experience, in large part because of his experience speaking on the microphone for these “Let’s Go!” podcast episodes.
FOX Sports now has Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
