Travis Kelce gave an explanation of his “protective” personality in relationships following his New York City outing with Taylor Swift.
The 34-year-old was questioned by his older brother Jason Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday regarding their exciting weekend in New York City. Travis gave an explanation of what actually happened when he was asked if he had received any “pushback” from Swift’s security detail for “pushing them out of the way.”
At the “Saturday Night Live” after-party, footage showed the superstar tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs pressing a security guard to open a car door so the singer could leave. Travis Kelce said
“I didn’t push him,” . “I placed my hand on the gentleman’s back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me.”
“That sounds like a way that somebody who pushed somebody would describe pushing them,” Jason Kelce replied.
“You’re ridiculous,” Travis Kelce fired back.
“‘I didn’t push them. I just put my hand on them and moved them,’” Jason Kelce said, poking fun at the situation.
“’Good sir, can you excuse me? I need to get the door. Sorry. I’m right behind you. I don’t want to startle you. I know it’s your job to keep crazy people away, and if you just randomly get pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming,’”
Jason Kelce enquired as to whether his brother thought of himself as a security guard while he was with Swift. He said
“I feel like whenever I’m on a date I’m always having the sense of, like, I’m a man in the situation. I’m like protective. Yeah, for sure. You always kind of have that feeling or that self-awareness, I guess,”
Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Chiefs, caught nine passes for 124 yards last Thursday night as Kansas City defeated the Broncos 19-8. Since the game against the Chargers in December 2021, this was the greatest receiving total in that game.
The Chiefs have triumphed in five straight games after dropping their season opener. When all is said and done, the squad may cruise to yet another division title since they are comfortably leading the AFC West.
