During his interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” this week, quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets made fun of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
When talking about his rehabilitation, former Colts punter Aaron Rodgers said he was throwing on the field and walking without crutches, defying science. McAfee said
“That’s what they’re saying about you,” “Shannon Sharpe said this morning …”
It didn’t take long for Rodgers to take a shot on Fauci, he said
“Like we learned, if science is Dr. Fauci, you’re damn right I’m defying science,”

Then again, Rodgers informed McAfee and A.J. Hawk that he wanted to proceed cautiously with his return to the field following his Achilles surgery. Rodgers described the process in detail. He said
“I believe in the power of intention,” “I believe in the power of your mind and the will – will power. Basically, the entire time, I kind of said this is what I’d like to do – rehab-wise. Got some incredible people to work with not just the Jets.”
In addition to adding that Minnesota Vikings running back Cam Akers underwent the same procedure as him and was back on the field in roughly five months, Rodgers claimed he asked Dr. Neal Elattrache if he could “push it.”
It might be considered to try to bring him back if the Jets are still in the running and really make the playoffs, but considering his age, it would not be wise to take that chance.
