The 2023 season has come to an end for Justin Herbert. The Los Angeles Chargers 2023 NFL season has been awful, and on Sunday, it got even worse. The Denver Broncos game saw quarterback Justin Herbert leave due to a fractured index finger on his throwing hand.
It was revealed on Tuesday that Herbert would miss the rest of the 2023 campaign.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Herbert will miss the remainder of the season following surgery on Tuesday to fix his broken index finger.

In light of the Chargers’ current 7-6 standings against six teams for the AFC wild card, it made the most sense to bench Herbert. By the end of the season, Herbert will have completed 3,134 yards of passing, 20 touchdowns, and a 63.8 quarterback rating.
Even though he would not be able to attend the celebrations, it seemed as though he was well on his way to making another Pro Bowl participation.
