Damarean Kaylon Bible has been charged with second-degree murder for fatally shooting a transgender woman named Savannah Ryan Williams after a sexual encounter.
According to the police records, Bible said he shot Ryan because she made him suspicious after the sexual encounter.
Reports say the incident happened outside the Urban Ventures building in the 3000 block of 4th Avenue South back on Nov. 29.
Police reviewed the surveillance footage from the area, and spotted a man, Damarean Kaylon Bible, walking towards where Savannah was found at around 5 a.m. that day. About 45 minutes later, he can be seen walking away but Savannah never did.
Police ended up tracking him down and arrested him at an apartment downtown. He was charged with second-degree murder.
After initially denying having any involvement, he ended up admitting that he shot Savannah. He told the authorities that he walked past Savannah , who was sitting in a bus shelter, asked him if he was interested in sex. They walked to the courtyard and, once finished, Damarean said Savannah was making him feel suspicious and that’s when shot her.
In the criminal complaint officers noted he called his parents from jail and said he’d “just murdered someone” and while he was sorry, he “had to do it.
A lot is happening out and y’all should be cautious of the people you decide to have relations with. Savannah Ryan Williams is dead all because she decided to have relations with Damarean Kaylon Bible.
