Lamar Odom, a former NBA player, gave superstar tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs some relationship advise.
Odom, after all, is well-versed in the experience of dating a high-profile star. From 2009 to 2016, the former Los Angeles Lakers fan favorite was wed to Khloé Kardashian. Their brief marriage was chronicled on the short-lived reality TV series Khloé & Lamar.
Taylor Swift, a Grammy Award-winning singer, is Kelce’s girlfriend. Since Swift has been to multiple Chiefs games this season, their relationship has been widely discussed in the NFL.
In an interview with Arash Markazi of The Messenger, Odom offered the 34-year-old Kelce some crucial guidance:
“My advice would be to be strong and stay by her and be as close to her as possible,” he said. “There are going to be millions of women that want to taste what Taylor Swift is tasting and it can be overwhelming because we’re men. He just has to be strong and stick by his girl and he’ll be alright.”

From 1999 to 2013, Odom competed in the NBA, earning two NBA Championships with the Kobe Bryant-led Lakers in 2009 and 2010. In addition to being selected for the 2000 All-Rookie First Team, Odom won the 2011 NBA Sixth Man of the Year award.
Kelce has played with the Chiefs for eleven seasons. With 70 receptions for 732 yards and five touchdowns this season, the two-time Super Bowl champion is having yet another fantastic season for the reigning champions.
With an 8-3 record going into Week 13, the Chiefs hope to make history by being the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004. This Sunday, the Chiefs travel to Green Bay to play Jordan Love and the Packers.
