The Jacksonville Jaguars are unable to get lucky. For the second time in three weeks, Trevor Lawrence is battling with an ailment, and this time he might have to miss a game.
The Jaguars may have lost quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the rest of the season in addition to their current three-game losing streak. Lawrence was checked on Sunday night and will go through the concussion protocol.
Although Lawrence would go on to complete the game and the team’s 23-7 loss to Baltimore, head coach Doug Pederson said following the game that he thought the injury happened during a play in the fourth quarter.

C.J. Beathard, the backup quarterback, would start against Tampa Bay on Christmas Eve if Lawrence is unable to play. Having started just ten games, Bethard’s record is 2–10. He last appeared in relief of Lawrence due to a severe ankle sprain.
He completed 25 of 43 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night, but he also committed several costly errors and fumbled twice, one of which happened in the fourth quarter.

With three weeks left in the regular season, the Jaguars (8-6) are tied for first place in the AFC South with the Indianapolis Colts (8-6) and Houston Texans (8-6).
