WATCH : Micah Parsons Lashes Out at Referees, Accusing Them of Being Anti-Cowboys

The sight of Micah Parsons taking on the referees in 2023 is quite amazing.

On Sunday, the Cowboys led the Dolphins 1-0 early on, but things quickly spiraled out of control when edge rusher Micah Parsons was called for roughing the passer, which allowed Miami to score just before the half thanks to a touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa. After the play, Parsons needed a teammate to hold him back.

Micah Parsons reaction to the decisions against Cowboys

The Cowboys linebacker went off on the officials following the game criticizing both that play and other instances in which he was seen to be held without being given a penalty call.

“It’s mind-blowing, the things that are getting called, and the positions that we get put in. We just have to learn how to fight the adversity. I know a lot of it is BS, but it’s the world we live in. We’ve got the star on our helmet. … It’s just hard to play defense.”

Parsons on his roughing the passer penalty: “(The ref) said my intent was to punish the quarterback. How am I trying to punish him if I’m just trying to sack him? It’s not like it was a late hit. It’s not like I’m leaving my feet. I didn’t lead with my head. I don’t know how you make that call.”

For the first time this season, Parsons was given a roughing warning.

Six flags were raised for 38 yards as Dallas lost to Miami 22–20. Five penalties totaling 33 yards were assessed against the Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins handed the Dallas Cowboys a tough loss on Sunday night, making it their second consecutive loss. After losing to the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Eve, the Dallas Cowboys are currently experiencing their first losing streak in two years.

The Cowboys will take some time to heal before facing the NFC North champion Lions in a game that they absolutely must win.
