When Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, appeared on “College GameDay,” ESPN’s Pat McAfee put him in an unpleasant situation on live air.
At the end of the season, a lot of people anticipate that iconic head coach Bill Belichick would leave the Patriots. The Patriots (3-10) are on track to have their third losing campaign and fourth consecutive non-playoff berth.
Kraft was forced to respond after McAfee, a former NFL punter, made a suggestion that Belichick would be fired by the Patriots during their discussion on “College GameDay”. McAfee said ,
“I don’t envy your position,” “What’s about to happen. We all know. We don’t have to ask again”
With Robert Kraft on the Gameday set, Pat McAfee not so subtly hints at parting ways with Belichick.
Kraft: “We like to win, so we want to do everything we can to get our team back so we can be winning.”

Since 2000, Belichick has led the Patriots as head coach. With Tom Brady as the franchise star, the team didn’t have a losing season from 2001 to 2019 and only missed the playoffs twice (in 2002 and 2008).
However, under Belichick, the Patriots have already secured their second season of double-digit losses (they finished 5-11 in 2000). After achieving unparalleled supremacy for two decades, will Kraft want to start over? It will become clear in the upcoming weeks.
