The Pittsburgh Steelers will probably have to compete without their franchise player if they advance to the postseason.
Star edge rusher T.J. Watt is thought to have sustained a grade 3 MCL sprain during Sunday’s season-saving 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Given that it’s “a multi-week injury,” according to Rapoport, Watt would probably miss the start of the Steelers’ postseason.
Based on initial tests, #Steelers potential DPOY TJ Watt is believed to have suffered a Grade 3 MCL sprain, sources said. He’ll have further tests, but that’s a multi-week injury.

After the day, the 2021 Defensive Player of the Year has eight combined tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. With the win, the Steelers finish 10-7 and need a loss by either the Jacksonville Jaguars or the Buffalo Bills to make the playoffs.
