After trailing the Lions by 17 points in their NFC Championship game, the San Francisco 49ers have immediately recovered to tie the score at 24 points apiece in the third quarter.
However, the first half looked quite dismal as Detroit ran wild, with rookie Jahmyr Gibbs contributing a touchdown run to the chaos.

When San Francisco acquired Young at the trade deadline, he appeared to be the piece that would elevate their defense, but he hasn’t done anything to indicate that he could be a long-term solution.
