Bill Belichick might be ideal for a single NFL playoff club, but it doesn’t seem like they want that to happen.
With Nick Sirianni still in charge, the Philadelphia Eagles don’t currently have a head coach vacancy, but based on sentiment among the fan base, they would much rather see him depart. At least one person doesn’t think Bill Belichick will be taken into consideration if the organization decides to part ways with Sirianni following their late-season collapse.
The pressure on Sirianni’s coaching position has increased due to the team’s poor performance in the previous season and humiliating playoff elimination, but a source close to the organization believes the team will not hire a former Patriots coach.
Talk Show host blasts Bill Belichick
Talk show host and sideline reporter Howard Eskin said Philadelphia is not likely to be interested in Belichick and that it is all based on the owner’s feelings during Eagles broadcasts.
“I can tell you this for a fact, Jeff Lurie is not a fan of Belicheat,” Eskin said of the Eagles owner on SportsRadio 94WIP, as transcribed by Dov Kleiman. “I can tell you that. Surely I know that.
“I am positive that the owner is not a big fan, he’s not a big fan. He’s (Belichick) not the guy.”

Making fun of his name is an obvious allusion to the off-field issues that Bill Belichick had with the New England Patriots.
After 24 years, Belichick and the Patriots split up. After New England’s defeat to the Eagles in Super Bowl LII, they were unable to score seven points.
