Owner of the New England Patriots Robert Kraft offered an unvarnished justification for his decision to sever ties with head coach Bill Belichick. This Thursday, the team and coach announced a mutual parting. Following the announcement, Kraft and Belichick spoke with media.
After holding the title for 24 years, Belichick was the NFL’s longest-tenured coach. He expressed gratitude to Kraft, the company, and the fans for giving him the chance to accomplish all he did as a head coach.
Regarding Kraft, he was full of compliments for his former head coach but made a curt admission about his resignation. He said,
“What’s gone on here the last 3-4 years isn’t what we want. Our job to fix it,”

The Pats haven’t been all that good since Tom Brady left, despite the fact that Bill Belichick is without a doubt one of the greatest coaches in NFL history and is regarded as the best by many.
In the four seasons after his departure, the team has failed to make the playoffs three times and has not won a postseason game. Robert said,
“I thank Coach Bill for his hard work and dedication,” “It’ll be difficult to see him in a cutoff hoodie on (another) sideline.”
