According to a recent story, Tom Brady may have influenced one specific head coach candidate’s decision to join the Las Vegas Raiders during the offseason.
Antonio Pierce, the interim head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, is apparently scheduled to interview over the weekend for the head coaching position that the Tennessee Titans are hiring for.
In the meantime, Tom Brady’s friendship with a former Patriots colleague could possibly help the Raiders land the Titans’ former coach.
When it comes to Mike Vrabel, the Raiders might be a team to watch, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
“Tom Brady was at [Raiders] practice on Friday, their final practice of the regular season. It was the first time Brady had been at the facility since [former coach] Josh McDaniels and [former GM] Dave Ziegler were fired,” Breer explained in an appearance on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“If Brady is going to be involved in this coaching search, you know who he’s very close with. The guy he played eight years with in New England.”
The #Titans will interview Antonio Pierce for their vacant head coaching job this weekend, source says. While he remains firmly in the mix for the #Raiders’ job, Pierce is exploring all options.

Following Josh McDaniels’ dismissal as head coach of the Raiders in November, Pierce assumed interim leadership and guided Vegas to a 5-4 record in the remaining two months of the campaign. That includes defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
Tennessee may work well as a landing place for Pierce if the Raiders decide to veer away from him, and Vrabel might wind up taking Pierce’s seat in Vegas.
