Once again, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have fallen short in the postseason. Under Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys have won 36 games during the regular season. They had only one postseason victory.
Prescott expressed his support for head coach Mike McCarthy after the team’s 48-32 home loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round on Sunday.
“He’s been amazing,” Prescott said of McCarthy postgame, according to Joseph Hoyt of LoneStarLive.com. “I don’t know how there could be (speculation about McCarthy’s future). I understand the business, and in that case, there should be (speculation) about me as well.
“I’ve had the season I’ve had because of that guy. This team has had the success it has had because of him. I understand it’s about winning the Super Bowl. That’s the standard of the league and that’s damn sure the standard of this place.”

For 403 yards and three touchdowns against two interceptions—one of which was a pick-6—Prescott completed 41 of 60 pass attempts. Jordan Love, who was 16-for-21 throwing with 272 yards and three touchdowns in his first playoff start, outperformed him.
With 36 touchdown passes throughout the regular season, Prescott led the NFL and was a strong candidate for MVP. Since joining the Cowboys as a fourth-round choice in 2016, he has amassed a 73-41 regular-season record. However, he saves the worst for last, as he has a 2-5 postseason record.
