Following the NFC’s triumph on Sunday, quarterback Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was voted offensive MVP of the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.
Baker Mayfield, the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was a late addition to the NFC team for this year’s Pro Bowl Games, but he made an impression right away by winning Thursday’s precision passing challenge. Baker carried over his strong performance into Sunday’s flag football match, leading the NFC to victory against the AFC team for the second time in a row and taking home the Offensive MVP award in the process.

“A lot of guys made plays today,” Mayfield said. “It was honestly so much fun. I got to watch the whole first half, stay a little loose a little bit, stay involved and take advantage of the opportunities. I’m just happy to be here.”
Given that the game is played on a shortened 50-yard field, Mayfield’s stats weren’t very impressive, but he was still able to complete 9/13 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Being voted the Pro Bowl Games’ offensive MVP is a culmination of all that Baker was able to achieve in his rookie campaign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now that Baker is aware of who will be in his ear calling plays in 2024 with the hire of Liam Coen as the new offensive coordinator, it appears that both the Bucs organization and Mayfield are eager in reaching an agreement on a long-term contract.
