Although Bill Belichick isn’t a particularly verbal person, he made the time to show his appreciation for New England Patriots supporters in a very touching way.
Belichick thanked Patriots supporters for their 24 years of support in a Sunday Boston Globe article, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. They are the most “passionate” sports fanbase in America, according to the 71-year-old:

Last month, Belichick and the Patriots called it quits after a remarkable 24-year partnership. The squad won six Super Bowls, nine AFC Championships, and 17 AFC East division titles under Belichick’s leadership.
Belichick and owner Robert Kraft parted ways after the Patriots missed the postseason and had a losing season for the third time in four years. Jerod Mayo was then elevated to head coach by the Patriots.
The Atlanta Falcons held two interviews with Belichick over their head coaching position; however, the organization decided not to pursue him and instead selected Raheem Morris, the former defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams.
