Many teams have benefited from the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff’s assistance in finding new coaches. After Miami Dolphins interviewed Chris Shula, the Rams assistant, that might go on.
Prior to the offseason, Sean McVay, the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, stated that promotions elsewhere would be the only way to alter the coaching staff.
Though the extent of those promotions keeps expanding, he has delivered on that promise. Five coaches have already left Los Angeles: Jimmy Lake, the associate head coach, Eric Henderson, the defensive coordinator, Raheem Morris, the quarterbacks coach, and assistant special teams coach Jeremy Springer.
Can Rams afford to lose Chris Shula ?
The Rams might lose another important coach when the coaching staffs are established. The Miami Dolphins will interview pass-rush coordinator and linebackers coach Chris Shula on Thursday in an effort to find a replacement for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, according to Tom Pelissero.
Since they started working with McVay in 2017, Shula has been a pillar of the team. Shula has persevered through every coaching transition despite McVay’s tendency to take a backseat when it comes to defense and instead rely on seasoned defensive coordinators.
Shula has held a number of positions on his side of the ball over his seven seasons with LA. He started off as the linebackers coach’s assistant and has since held the positions of defensive backs coach, outside linebackers coach, linebackers coach, pass-rush coordinator, and pass-game coordinator.
