Ross Travis, Wingman for Travis Kelce, Who Is He and What Is He Doing in Australia?

Since traveling to Australia on a private plane with his friend Travis Kelce on Wednesday to establish his presence in the Kansas City Chiefs star’s inner circle, Ross Travis has been in the news a lot lately, according to Daily Mail.

In an image posted on his Instagram story, the 31-year-old Travis is seen traveling with the 34-year-old tight end to Sydney to see pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. The words “Down Under” are faintly scribbled across the glass of the aircraft.

Ross was among those who went to Las Vegas with Kelce, who returned to the city more than a week after winning the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium, to play in a charity golf tournament prior to their journey to Australia.

Following the Chiefs’ triumphant return to the Super Bowl from a glamorous suite, Kelce’s close pal posted a number of photos, one of which featured 14-time Grammy winner Swift.

 

A friendship rather unexpected

Travis, a tight end from Penn State, signed with Kansas City after going undrafted in 2015. The two-year-old draft pick Kelce and he became fast friends. Travis departed after two seasons and started to move about the National Football League (NFL).

Before joining Kansas City, the Penn State tight end was not selected in the 2015 NFL Draft. Travis, who was taken two years earlier, and Kelce grew close while playing the same position. Travis departed Kansas City after two seasons and started to travel the NFL.

Before signing a two-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, Travis was a member of the 2019 New York Jets. Before becoming a free agency in 2021, he then appeared in practice with the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, and Arizona Cardinals.

After tearing his ACL in 2018, he went on a rollercoaster that included resignation, release, and a November return to the Colts. After being waived by Indianapolis a month later, he started playing practice.

Travis played in 29 NFL games in his five seasons. He caught 14 passes for 142 yards in those games.
