Xavier Worthy, a wide receiver from Texas, has seemingly gained widespread recognition very quickly.
Why? an extraordinary display in the NFL scouting combine’s 40-yard dash on March 2, finishing in 4.21 seconds to eclipse the seven-year-old record set by former Washington wide receiver John Ross.
Patrick Mahomes text to Xavier Worthy and its impact
Worthy said to Tyler Dragon of USA Today on Friday that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, contacted him after he set the record. Worthy was moved by Mahomes’s text and listed the Chiefs as his desired landing location. He said,
“In a perfect world, I definitely would want to go to the Chiefs,” “Just the way Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs improvise and use you. They had [wide receiver] Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I feel like that would be a perfect fit for me.”
Mock drafts typically predict Worthy to go in the late first or early second round. The Chiefs, own the final first-round draft pick (number 32). We are just as excited as you are to see where Xavier ends up next. Mahomes and Xavier seem like a match made in heaven.
