The terrible news of Keith Miller‘s death in his apartment close to the TAMUC campus on Thursday night stunned the college football community. Miller was a player for the Texax A&M Commerce Lions. Many were shocked to learn of the 22-year-old athlete’s passing. While searching for information, Miller’s girlfriend Caila Jae provided insight into his mental state before to his passing, illuminating the devastating loss.
Caila took to Instagram to share her feelings, discussing the events that might have led to Keith Miller’s premature passing. She emphasized that neither his mother nor she could contact Keith since he was “mentally battling something” outside of their control.
She claimed that even though she tried her hardest to be his partner, she was unable to assist him. Caila went on to convey her grief and pointed out that in the end, everything was in God’s hands. She continued, saying:
“Keith was mentally battling something that not me or even his mom could help him with. I have done everything I could I as his partner to try to help him during his battle but ultimately God as the final say so.Keith baby I forgive you and I love you in this life and the next.”
Miller transferred to Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2022 after spending two seasons as a wide receiver at the University of Colorado. In addition, he captained the squad in 2023 throughout his two seasons with the Lions.
Following Miller’s death, an abundance of supportive comments and condolences were sent. Head coach of the Commerce-Lions Clint Colezel expressed deep sorrow, describing Miller as a beloved person and his condolences to his family and all those who knew him well.
