According to Yoel Zehaie, the plaintiff’s attorney, the Texas complaint filed against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott by a woman who accused him of sexual assault has been transferred from Dallas County to Collin County.
After Zehaie filed a motion for a “non-suit without prejudice,” which permitted the accuser to refile the action later, the lawsuit was withdrawn in Dallas County last week. Moving to Collin County “for purposes of convenience,” Zehaie explained in an email, given that Prescott’s initial lawsuit for damages was filed in that county.
Dak Prescott is demanded a lot of money
Following receipt of a letter in January from lawyers Bethel and Yoel Zehaie on behalf of the lady who accused Prescott of sexually assaulting her in February 2017, Prescott filed a suit in March demanding monetary relief exceeding $1 million, according to the suit. “She is willing to forgo pursuing criminal charges and disclosing this information to the public in exchange for compensation for the mental anguish she has suffered,” the letter said, despite the sad events. The estimated amount of [the woman’s] damages is $100,000,000.00.
Prescott pledged in his lawsuit that any such relief will be given to the Joyful Heart Foundation or another “like-minded organization.”
After that, the accuser reported the claimed 2017 incident to the police and filed a civil lawsuit. Levi McCathern, Prescott’s lawyer, described it as a “wholly made-up narrative” in March, adding that Prescott “has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone.”
This Monday, Dallas Police announced that the investigation is still ongoing. Prescott’s allegations of extortion against the accuser are being looked into by the Prosper, Texas, police.
