After O.J. Simpson passed away at the age of 76, the NFL said that they WILL NOT be making any comments. The running back’s previous teams have similarly remained silent.
Many individuals and groups have expressed their condolences over OJ Simpson’s passing; however, neither the NFL nor the Buffalo Bills, the team he was most closely connected to, have done so.
A league representative informed according to DailyMail.com that the NFL has no plans to issue a statement regarding Simpson after the website reached out to the league to inquire about it.
Simpson, who was 76 years old, lost his fight with cancer on Thursday.
The White House issues a statement on O.J. Simpson’s death
As word of his passing spread, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at The White House prepared a statement.
Pierre said,
‘Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Obviously with his family and loved ones,’
‘And I say this, I know that they have asked for some privacy – and so we’re going to respect that.’
Apart from the NFL and the Bills, no statement has been provided by the University of Southern California or the San Francisco 49ers.
