The 2024–25 NFL schedule was recently made public by the league, igniting a lot of fan debate. Many people think that the Kansas City Chiefs have a less difficult schedule than other teams. Their schedule is ranked in the middle by analysts, who point out that teams with more difficult schedules include the Browns, Ravens, Steelers, and Packers.
But NFL Vice President Mike North offered an alternative viewpoint when he was on Adam Schefter’s program. North contended that with six games every week, the Chiefs may possibly have one of the hardest schedules in the league.

He does, however, believe that they will make the playoffs because “good teams find a way.”
The Chiefs have an intense schedule: they play every day of the week save Tuesday, play three games in eleven days, take brief rests in between, and play a key game versus Buffalo immediately following their bye week. But that’s a cost great clubs like the Chiefs frequently have to pay to maintain the league, according to the NFL official.

North acknowledged that the reigning champions have been the league’s “Bellcow” for some time, providing what is needed. In order to increase the league’s popularity, the NFL is therefore willing to arrange for them to play on any streaming network on any holiday.
He went on to say that the Chiefs were not taken aback by their schedule or the games they will be playing on various federal holidays. North stated,
” You can give the Chiefs the worst possible schedule and some are saying we did…we may have given the Chiefs the hardest schedule in the league but I suspect they are going to be there come playoff time….They have been our bellcow for a while. They are kind of used to carrying our water for some of these unique kinds of opportunities…Chiefs were not surprised by their national television and some of the windows we decided to use.”

Reactions to Mike North’s remarks regarding the Chiefs and the challenging schedule were not quite unanimous. Some, meanwhile, criticized the NFL for leveraging Kansas City’s fame to increase ratings.
