The NBA world was taken aback by Jimmy Butler‘s unexpected debut at the poker table at Hustlers Casino. The Miami Heat star was overjoyed when he quickly quadrupled his money, making his weekend even more special. Dan Bilzerian called him out because of his latter decision to leave the game, though, as it didn’t set well with him.
The expert poker player candidly described how Butler had already left the house the time he made a significant win. Bilzerian criticized the 34-year-old’s choice during the live broadcast, saying
“That basketball player wanted to leave so bad once he doubled up. He was ready to hit the f***ing door”.
A moment later, an NBA fan caught the attention of followers on X (formerly Twitter) by posting a clipping of the incident.

At first, the story revolved around Butler defeating Brazilian soccer player Neymar in a $174,000 pot. The two constantly taunted and threatened each other during this game until the Heat star sealed the win.
He even posted a video of their back-and-forth on Instagram later. The Texan, who mentioned Neymar in the caption, ridiculed the soccer player for his lackluster performance by posting a middle finger emoji.
Butler took calculated chances to safeguard the trophy after this victory. Without taking any big risks, the Heat talisman won around $200,000 by Sunday morning. Before leaving the casino located in Los Angeles, he even shared a tiny amount of his winnings with the other gamers around.
Bilzerian was unable to process this order. The 43-year-old may have anticipated that Butler would rely more on surprise during the tournament because he is a professional poker player. He appeared to have been greatly irritated by the latter’s inconsistent actions.
Nevertheless, Butler’s choice was still sound. It made sense that he would choose to depend on merit over greed, given the enormity of the reward money. But in order to win this significant, the NBA player had to pay a high price.
