Klay Thompson Will Follow in the Footsteps of Heat Legend, Says ESPN Analyst

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson‘s choice moving forward is one of the most important developments to watch this summer. Will the star shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors leave the team or look for another opportunity elsewhere? Zach Lowe of ESPN says Thompson might emulate Dwyane Wade, the legendary player for the Miami Heat.

While playing with the Heat, Dwyane Wade won three NBA titles. However, Wade continued to play for the Chicago Bulls, his hometown team, throughout the second half of his career. In the most recent episode of NBA Today, Zach Lowe expressed his opinion that Klay may pursue that course of action.

“I wanna see these three guys, Steph, Klay, and Draymond play together forever, running circles around the court…Look, we don’t always get what we want romantically. And we saw Dwyane Wade leave Miami for Chicago…I think Klay has pathways that could be interesting.”

Zach Lowe speaks about impact Klay Thompson leaving would have

Zach Lowe considered which player would benefit the most from the Warriors’ big three disbanding, despite his strong desire for them to finish their careers together. And Klay Thompson was Lowe’s ultimate analysis.

“Klay Thompson fits anywhere.”

Lowe mentioned to Malika Andrews and Kendrick Perkins that Klay Thompson is the only one of the three players whose game is adaptable enough to fit into the offensive scheme of any other team.

In what may be Thompson’s final years in the league, Lowe also noted that Thompson may leave for another team and demonstrate his worth there. Zach Lowe believed that Thompson may respond sharply to the amount of contempt he has received over the previous year with this action.
