A million dollars was donated to the Eastern Mississippi University athletic department by Raiders star Maxx Crosby and his spouse Rachel last year. Consequently, the institution was able to renovate the football field. The renamed “Crosby Field” was unveiled in their honor yesterday as EMU alumni returned to their former school.
The field, which is located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, was already well-known for being among the most fascinating settings for games. It now goes by a different name. The couple’s enormous influence and dedication to the program were honored at a ceremony hosted by the university.

Maxx Crosby comes across to help when it mattered
The EMU athletic director informed Crosby last year that the grey turf may be in danger and required repair. Like most EMU alums, Crosby was very proud and wanted the famous colored grass to remain in place. He talked about it with his wife, who was also quite supportive of the project, and the two of them ended up becoming the main contributors to the cause. He said,
“I wouldn’t be able to do this without this army around me,”. “I’ve got the best people in the world supporting me every single day. I just want to say, I love you guys, thanks for showing up, and Coach Creighton, without you giving me a chance, none of this would be possible.”
The Raiders star’s path to stardom hasn’t been simple. He was not doing well, even after making it to the NFL. He entered a treatment facility for alcoholism in 2020. He attributed his escape to individuals in his immediate vicinity, particularly his wife.
