Travis Kelce of the Chiefs is now a worldwide star at tight end. Outside of the game, he hosts a podcast, performs in plays, is the world’s most popular lover, and recently wrapped up filming a commercial for his energy drink company, Accelerator Active.
With GOATTE-level numbers, he has shown to be a valuable member of the Kansas City Chiefs offense and a dependable teammate on the field. But even at the highest level of competition, there are limits to what you can accomplish. Although you gain a lifelong fan base, it is up to you to follow your own route after your brief athletic career ends. And this is what Travis Kelce preaches without fail.
Travis Kelce speaks about getting a work-life balance
Speaking on Good Morning America, the co-host of the New Heights Podcast said, “This year has been more challenging than most.” It makes sense because he needs to strike a balance between his training schedule and off-field obligations.
Travis, though, is a notable exception. He is not limited to his career as a football player; in addition, he hosts a podcast, acts in theater, and pursues other interests. So he continues, teaching young athletes how to swim in the deep waters. Travis advised,
“Football’s always on my mind. Still, in the off season, I’m trying to set myself up for life after football. I think all players should try and get into that in the off season,”
Even though Kelce is having difficulty fulfilling his obligations this season, he has already won three Super Bowls and set numerous important NFL records.
Therefore, when players get closer to the end of their careers, it might be wise for them to explore these off-field endeavors. Even so, it is possible to pursue off-field options in the early stages of a career and still have a positive training-relationship. Many view Kelce’s initial endeavor at a reality program as a failure. See where he’s come to now!
