Kendrick Perkins, Unfollowed on X by LeBron James, Hillariously Compares Himself to Jesus : “Everyone Didn’t Follow Jesus, I’ll Be Ok.”

LeBron James remains a media fixture despite his son Bronny’s impending NBA Draft, his impending unrestricted free agency, and his recent shocking unfollowing of three basketball legends for no discernible reason.

Kendrick Perkins was the first to be fired after criticizing Kyrie Irving for his remarks. The 39-year-old stated he missed playing alongside a teammate of that caliber, and Perkins accused Irving of trying to steal the Dallas Mavericks player’s moment. Perkins said on ESPN,

“Here we go again, [LeBron James] weaseling his way into somebody else’s moment,”

“This is not about you! Your team is at home. You’re so mad and disappointed that you’re not Kyrie Irving’s running mate anymore.”

After LeBron unfollowed perkins, He wrote on X,

“Everybody didn’t follow Jesus, I’ll be ok,”

It’s not clear why James unfollowed Perkins, but it’s easy to figure out why it most likely happened.

James lauded Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving earlier this week on his Mind the Game podcast. He referred to Irving as the “most gifted player the NBA has ever seen” and expressed his disappointment at not being able to play with him.

James was chastised by Perkins on Wednesday’s NBA Today on ESPN for attempting to dominate the conversation and denying Irving his own opportunity.

Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin were the next two to go, though it’s still unclear why they did so in spite of the NBA Alerts report.

Though he won’t be playing for months, James’ name is still at the forefront of basketball discussions, suggesting that the stressful offseason may be starting to have an impact on his personal life and emotions.

Where would LeBron James end up this summer?

James has not seemed to be able to come to an agreement with the Lakers during the season, and now that the team is starting to consider Dan Hurley over J.J. Redick for the position of Darvin Ham’s replacement, that may be an indication that he will be leaving California.

LeBron James with his son Bronny

The four-time NBA champion is aware of his continued demand for his services after a season in which he averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 rebounds. He also knows that his career is coming to an end, so could he use his position as a weapon to guarantee his son’s entry into the league?

Bronny, who is 19 years old, is about to join the draft, but advisors advise him to stay in the NCAA for one more season, so he won’t be among the top picks based just on his skill set. But when his father is involved, the situation becomes much more delightful.
